A neighbourhood kitchen, a butcher counter, a family recipe book.
Shaheen opened at 3570 Wolfedale Road in 1999 as a halal butcher and small takeout counter. Word spread through Friday biryani and weekend nihari, and families began asking us to cook for their weddings.
Today we cater hundreds of events a year across the GTA, still cutting our own halal meat in-house and cooking from the same recipes.
